Will my Certificate say 6-hours or 6-Weeks?

The time spent on each lesson converts to the total number weeks by default; as each lesson varies in time but is limited to one-hour. Therefore, if you register for a 6-Week course; you will receive a 6-week certificate; a 10-Week course will produce a 10-Week Certificate, etc.
Although we do offer fast-track courses, whereby students can take their courses back to back, these courses are timed and must be completed in full before you can proceed to the next lesson to receive credit for your studies.

What is the difference between an online course and an in-person course?
We believe successful learning hinges on three key factors:
  1. Motivation, driven by personal interest;
  2. Capacity, shaped by individual learning style.; and
  3. Application, the ability to put knowledge into practice.
All three are essential to achieving meaningful outcomes. While most people benefit from a combination of seeing, hearing, and doing, this learning style test may help you discover your natural preferences and choose the course format that suits you best. For example, online courses generally require self-motivation and independence, ideal for auditory and visual learners who absorb information through listening, reading, and note-taking. By contrast, in-person courses are often better for kinesthetic (or tactile) learners who grasp content through physical activity, movement, and direct experience.
Different learning formats cater to unique styles heres a breakdown for your reference:

Understanding your learning style empowers you to select the format that brings out your best—and helps you stay motivated, capable, and ready to apply what you learn.

How can I tell if an online course is right for me?
If you're taking the course due to a court order, please follow the specific instructions in that order. Your attorney can also guide you based on your case’s needs.

Otherwise, before selecting a course format, consider your purpose for enrolling and how you learn most effectively. While many people undoubtedly benefit from a blend of seeing, hearing, and doing, taking this learning style test can help you identify your natural preferences—making it easier to choose the approach that fits you best.

Does your online Course require a minimum number of hours of study per class?
Yes. There is no minimum as to how long it takes for you to retain the information, but sessions are timed to assure full review of particular content. Each lesson is one-hour minimum, and you must complete each lesson before proceeding to the next one.
You do have to demonstrate your knowledge upon your final session by way of a course exam, and if you fail the exam there is a "consequence" of having to pay a processing fee of $25 to prepare your "Certificate of Completion" because it is assumed you will pass, and a Certificate of Achievement is prepared for you when you Register.

Can I finish the full 6-week Course in 1 hour and receive a six-week certificate?
No,you can not complete a 6-week course in 1-hour, because lessons are timed.
However, you can possibly complete a 6-week course in one day if you have at least 6-hours available, because each lesson is an average of 1-hour in length. <

Do I have to complete each class in one session?
No. But you will have to complete it within 24-hours from when you begin because all lessons are considered "weekly" lessons and cater primarily to students who require weekly sessions and each class is a minimum of one hour, students must complete each lesson once they begin within a particular time frame (now 1-day).
You will be informed once you login how long each lesson is and how long you have to complete the lesson; we are moving the timeframe to complete each lesson to 24-hours, so each lesson will allow up to 24-hours to complete it once you start so it is recommended students do not begin each lesson until they have at least 1-hour to review the course content in full.

How are your Courses structured?
Please click here to view the details of how our course is structured.

Do you have a high-conflict course that is not domestic violence based?
No, because "High Conflict" implies domestic violence is an issue of concern requiring address; so Domestic Violence is a necessary component to the course.
However, you can create your own high - conflict course by adding any of our additional lessons in our abuse categories available at checkout.
Our high-conflict courses begin at 12-weeks; so you may register for our 12-Week High-Conflict Course and at checkout you may select any of the following abuse matters pertinant to your case to complete your "High-Conflict" Course needs.
Lesson topics: There are 6 abuse topics, each with three additional lessons, which could add up to 18-weeks to the Course selected (resulting in a 30-week certificate).

Abuse Matters

I need/want to take a Co-Parenting Course but I am unsure how many weeks or matters are needed?
All of our courses, except our 6-week Parenting Fundamentals Course, are Co-parenting Courses; therefore, our Co-Parenting Courses begin at ten weeks.
  1. Our Co-Parenting Courses begin at ten weeks.
  2. All Courses beyond ten weeks are "Co-Parenting" Courses.
  3. You may select any of the two Core Courses to review the course description and see if it fits you well.

Please note: If you need anywhere from 11-52 Weeks of Co-Parenting you may select any of our Core Courses from 10-14-Weeks: Thats either our 10-Week Course, 12-Week Course, or 14-Week course and add lessons specific to your situation to satisfy your total number of weeks.

For instance, the court has recommended that you take a 16-week Co-Parenting Course that addresses "Age-Appropriate" matters pertaining to your case, and you have one toddler and one adolescent child.

Our recommendation would be as follows:  Select our 14-week High Conflict Course and add our 1-week "Toddler" and 1-week "Adolescent" courses at checkout. This will total 16 weeks of course credit, and both topics will be acknowledged on your certificate.

How can I create my own course?

  • An age-appropriate course for teen or toddler children
  • Developmental needs of infants
  • Topics related to autism or mental health
  • To meet these requirements, you can select any of our Core Courses (ranging from 6 to 14 weeks). During checkout, you're welcome to customize your course by adding up to three lessons per topic. Each additional lesson will be reflected in your certificate—for example, if you choose a 6-week course and add a toddler-focused lesson, your certificate will read "7-Week Course" and include the selected topic.
