What Will My Certificate Reflect—Hours or Weeks?
Your certificate will reflect the total number of weeks associated with your course, not the number of hours. Although each lesson is limited to one hour, the course duration is calculated by the number of weekly sessions.
- For example, if you enroll in a 6-week course, your Certificate will state 6 weeks.
- A 10-week course will result in a 10-week certificate, and so on.
- If you enroll in a 6-week core parenting course and choose to add two additional lessons— onein Child Development and one in Anger Management—your Certificate of Completion will reflect an 8-week course.
- Additionally; the titles of the additional lessons will also be listed by name on your certificate to acknowledge the expanded scope of your learning.
We also offer fast-track options, allowing students to complete lessons consecutively. However, each lesson is timed and must be completed in full before moving on. This ensures that credit is accurately awarded for each session.
- | Note: The total number of study hours will also be indicated in fine print on your certificate. This clarifies that each weekly lesson is equivalent to one hour of study.
What is the difference between an online course and an in-person course?
We believe successful learning hinges on three key factors:
- Motivation, driven by personal interest;
- Capacity, shaped by individual learning style.; and
- Application, the ability to put knowledge into practice.
All three are essential to achieving meaningful outcomes.
While most people benefit from a combination of seeing, hearing, and doing,
this learning style test may help you discover your natural preferences
and choose the course format that suits you best.
For example, online courses generally require self-motivation and independence,
ideal for auditory and visual learners who absorb information through listening, reading, and note-taking.
By contrast, in-person courses are often better for kinesthetic (or tactile)
learners who grasp content through physical activity, movement, and direct experience.
How can I tell if an online course is right for me?
If you're taking the course due to a court order, please follow the specific instructions in that order.
Your attorney can also guide you based on your case’s needs.
Otherwise, before selecting a course format, consider your purpose for enrolling and how you learn most effectively.
While many people undoubtedly benefit from a blend of seeing, hearing, and doing,
taking
this learning style test can help you identify your natural preferences—making it easier to choose the approach that fits you best.

Do the Courses require a minimum number of hours of study?
Each session in the course includes a required time commitment to ensure thorough review of the material. While there is no set amount of study time needed to retain the content, lessons are timed to support consistent engagement and to qualify for weekly credit.
- Minimum Duration: Each lesson is no less than one hour.
- Completion Requirement: You must finish each lesson in its entirety before starting the next.
- Timing Notification: Before beginning a lesson, you’ll be informed of its expected duration and can decide whether you're ready to start.
- Completion Window: Once you begin a lesson, you typically have 24 hours to complete it to assure weekly credit for the lesson.
Can I finish the full 6-hour Course in 1 hour and receive a 6-week certificate?
No, you cannot complete a 6-week course in just one hour, as each lesson is timed and must be completed in full to receive credit.
However,
if you have at least 6 uninterrupted hours available, you may be able to complete all six lessons in a single day.
Each lesson is designed to take approximately one hour, and completing them consecutively will result in a 6-week Certificate of Completion.
Do I have to complete each class in one session?
No. But you will have to complete it within 24-hours from when you begin
because all lessons are considered "weekly" lessons and cater primarily to students who require weekly sessions
and each class is a minimum of one hour, students must complete each lesson once they begin within a particular time frame (now 1-day).
You will be informed once you login how long each lesson is and how long you have to complete the lesson; we are moving the timeframe to complete each lesson to
24-hours, so each lesson will allow up to 24-hours to complete it once you start
so it is recommended students do not begin each lesson until they have at least 1-hour to review the course content in full.
How are your courses structured?
Our parent education courses are available in multiple formats. The format you choose may depend on your Court Order, if applicable.
If the order specifies a particular type of course, that format must be followed. If no format is designated, you may select the option that best suits your needs.
If you’ve retained an attorney, they can advise you on which format is most appropriate Course for your situation.
Three Tier Course Structure
Our program is organized into three distinct tiers, each tailored to specific parenting needs:
Each course is carefully structured to align with its tier’s focus. We regularly update our content and expand our offerings—so check back often or contact us if there's a topic you'd like to see included.
Before enrolling, please review your Court Order or consult your attorney to ensure you select the appropriate course type. You may also take our Learning Style Assessment to help determine which format best fits your personal learning preferences.

Do You Offer a High-Conflict Course That Does Not Include Domestic Violence?
No. The term “High-Conflict” inherently includes concerns related to domestic violence, which is why domestic violence content is a required component of our High-Conflict courses.
However, you do have the option to customize your own High-Conflict course by selecting additional lessons from our abuse-related categories during checkout. This allows you to tailor the course to the specific needs of your case.
High-Conflict Course Structure
- Our standard High-Conflict Course begins at 12 weeks.
- At checkout, you may choose from the following abuse-related lesson categories to expand your course.
- Each category includes three lessons, and you may select multiple categories.
- If all six categories are added, this could extend your course to 30 weeks, resulting in a 30-week Certificate of Completion.
Current Available Abuse Topics include three lessons per topic (18 total lessons)
- Alcohol Abuse I, II, and III
- Anger Management I, II, and III
- Child Abuse I, II, and III
- Domestic Violence I, II, and III
- Mental Health I, II, and III
- Substance Abuse I, II, and III
I need a Co-Parenting Course but am unsure how many weeks?
All of our courses—except the 6-week Parenting Fundamentals Course—are considered Co-Parenting Courses, which begin at
a minimum of 10 weeks in length.
Any course
10 weeks or longer qualifies as a Co-Parenting Course.
You may review the descriptions of our **10-week, 12-week, or 14-week Core Courses** to determine which best fits your needs.
Customizing Your Course Duration is easy with our additional lesson options! If you require
anywhere from 11 to 52 weeks of Co-Parenting instruction, you can start with one of our Core Courses and
add supplemental lessons during checkout to meet your required total.
Example: If the court recommends a 16-week Co-Parenting Course that addresses
age-appropriate parenting, and you have one toddler and one adolescent, we suggest:
Registering for our 14-week High-Conflict Co-Parenting Course and Adding (for $20 each):
- 1-week Toddler lesson
- 1-week Adolescent lesson
** This combination provides 16 weeks of course credit affordably while remaining compliant with court requirements; both age-specific topics will be clearly listed on your certificate.
